Join the Texas Forestry Association for a relaxed evening of conversation, networking, dinner, and community connection at the TFA North Regional Social 2026.
The event will bring together local landowners, forestry professionals, TFA members, guests, and individuals interested in learning more about Texas forestry. Participants will have an opportunity to meet others in the forestry community, exchange experiences, and build new professional and community connections in an informal setting.

TASFRL at US BCSD Annual Meeting 2026
TASFRL is proud to participate in the US BCSD Annual Meeting 2026 in The Woodlands, Texas. Our Director & Treasurer, Joseph K. Johnson, PMP®, will join a panel discussion on the Small Landowners Carbon Collaborative (SLCC), exploring how carbon markets can create new opportunities for small landowners while supporting long-term land stewardship. The US BCSD Annual Meeting is a one-day session designed to move sustainability forward through collaboration, practical solutions, and a clear business case. This year’s program highlights member-driven collaborative work and active initiatives, including SLCC, circularity, energy, water, ecosystem services, and social impact. For TASFRL, this conversation reflects our commitment to advancing inclusive land stewardship, regenerative futures, and practical pathways that help landowners, rural communities, and working lands thrive.

Share Your Landownership Experience: TASFRL x HARC Landowner Questionnaire
TASFRL, in partnership with HARC, invites landowners, farmers, ranchers, rural families, and land stewards across Texas to share their insight through a short landowner questionnaire. This questionnaire is part of a broader effort to better understand the needs, challenges, and priorities of communities working to protect, retain, and sustain land across generations. The questionnaire focuses on landownership, heirs’ property retention, generational wealth, long-term land stewardship, and the resources communities may need to support land retention. Your response can help TASFRL better understand where support is needed, what challenges landowners and families are facing, and how future outreach, education, technical assistance, and community engagement efforts can be shaped. This is an early data-gathering phase. The information gathered through this questionnaire may help inform future outreach, community education, technical assistance, and listening sessions. Listening Session #1 - Preserving East Texas Land
Land ownership carries family history, livelihood, and opportunity, but keeping land across generations can also bring difficult legal, financial, and practical challenges. TASFRL and HARC invite Black landowners in East Texas to share what they are experiencing and what support would make the greatest difference. The virtual session is planned for approximately 60 minutes, with up to 30 additional minutes if the conversation needs more time. Participants will hear a brief introduction to the project, respond to guided, open-ended questions, and have time for a short Q&A. What we learn will help identify local priorities and shape strategies that support lasting land ownership and long-term family wealth. This is a conversation centered on listening, not a workshop or one-on-one consultation. TASFRL may point participants to existing resources, including the Data Center Guide, but personalized assistance will not be provided during the session.
